You would say 'I' and my fixation with cab drivers.!! :)
But you have to give it to me that not every one gets a chance to be as lucky to have come across couple of the coolest cab drivers as I did and that not everyday one gets to learn something new from our world when taking a cab back home. C'mon! I scored here, didn't I?
If you want to give it a second thought-- how many times have you taken a cab a). ever pre-thinking about the kinda cab or the cab driver you would prefer? b). just getting excited about the cab ride? (Don't miss the 'just' and the 'cab' in the latter question of mine) - I say so to out-rule any of those 'pre-mature-first-time-lovers' moments where it's all about a chance to hold hands or 'you-know-what-I-mean' ;) annnndddd if luck continues, a cab ride back home all alone with your sweetheart becomes one of those most mushy memories you would just be embarrassed to re-live once grown old and practical. But then, did you care who the cab driver was or what all was going through his head when all you were thinking would have been -'Life's so beautiful!' lol.. So my rational says- Just 'minus' those cab-rides and answer the question I had put before I waived off from the topic a bit.
Atleast in my part of the world ..one mostly takes a cab around 2:00 am completely sloshed--out of the bar/club with no sense of direction-amazingly would still remember the destination address and then, would just resist to puke all through the ride or just pretend to doze off while the world would revolve around one's eyes and then blurr away. Or if in NYC, one would just be glad to be the first one in the crowd to have hopped into the cab, or maybe not, when the cab driver would just rudely yet coolly ( don't be confused- what passengers find rude, drivers think is 'cool') or let's say in a completely 'New Yorkean' (yes, mind the quotes '..') style, tell you -'Only 4 people in ma cab.' And hence, the expedition would re-begin. Phew!
Hell no, you aren't as lucky as me because I have thoroughly enjoyed- not just once, but twice - the experience of a cab ride! And thus, comes the second blog on the same old topic but ofcourse, with a fresh story. :) Kindly tighten your seatbelts and have a nice trip to my next blog.. hehe
