Shoe-shine man or a cabbie?- Part2

So, did you notice the date today? Probably you did not if you were not keenly involved in astronomy or numerology or if you don't quite follow those bits and pieces that news channels or newspapers flash once in a while! Even I didn't see anything special about it till I saw one of my friend's facebook status message that read-

12:34:56 7/8/9 was today.. once in a hundred years!

Hmnnn..special indeed! and we lived that moment, perfect and sweet! :)

Anyways, where I was? Yup, I got it! I will take the narration forward from where it ended in part1, I will continue with what he started... his creation, his words, A through Z!
Here he goes-

(everyone sings in chorus with that last 'youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu'.
We can see him bustling with energy and enthusiasm and one can't probably miss noticing that he is probably taking a li'l longer route than the usual one..but cheers to our good mood, why mind?)

A small pause. Karan finally starts to say 'Nice' with that long emphasis of 'i' and he hasn't even completed the word when he is cut out...

Cabbie: You know the best I like..
(We aren't prepared to answer and there he goes.. )

I got my brush, I got my polish too..
I got a bleach, black and brown,
And if you already didn't know- am the best shoe-shine-man around!
I am the shoe-shine-man,
Doing the best, the best that I can.

I would like to shine couple of dozen pairs tonight,

I've been shining shoes for many a year,
Heard a lot 0f stories from the shoes that one could ever hear..
I have been shining shoes for a long time..
and as I said- am the best shoe-shine-man around!

Some people don't buy the kind of shoes you can shine anymore,
Some people just wipe the shoes and walk outta door..
Some people buy kind of polish that you put on with a sponge onto your shoe,
And some people don't understand what I have to do to pay my dues!

We all clap..

Me: Don't let the fire in you burn out! Don't let that charm fade away!
(Wine doing the talking.. High and now philosophical and all that..Deadly!)

And I stare blankly with the wrinkled eyes at that invisible something far off down the road that only I could see..


Cabbie: Hey pretty lady, you said some beautiful words there..Now hold onto that..

It is co-incidentally a red-light stop. So he takes out a newspaper and a pen!

Cabbie: You young lady, write that down for me..
